Eng:

Shadow is the subject of the brief and delicate video of the Georgian artist Irina Gabiani, it is the proof of a phisical presence, of mass in space, invisible but present. The shadow of a human body, it’s two dimensional projection on a wall, arme that elongate in a movement, an elevation towards the precise object, hands that become deformed and loose their real connotations becoming pure abstraction, imagination, mental and blind vision. A simple natural gesture, the shy attempt to grab the branch of a tree, managing to with the quite a bit of effort, touching it only to withdraw and dissapear into nothing. In a short space of time the artist concentrates a visual and emotional tension, holding the gaze and breath of the observer, careful to capture every single minimal movement.
